Fill Patterns for Brushes and Brooms

There are various fill patterns for sweeper brushes like for example: Double Row, Single Row, Patrol Brush, Herringbone and Chevron.

The most common fill pattern for sweeping applications is Double Row or likewise called DR. It is really handy and this design specially allows the space between each row to trap bulky stuff when the bristles are picking up the finer litter things such as dust and sand.

The Single Row or likewise called SR fill pattern is recommended for sweeping applications that take place in dusty or sandy environments. This pattern is also known as the high-density or full-fill pattern. The SR pattern specializes in picking up only fine debris and not whatever kind of bulky debris.

The Patrol Brush has been intended for high-speed sweeping in large areas. This particular brush has a V-pattern and has fewer rows with more tufts for each row and therefore, more space between rows. This specific design allows the brush to effectively pick up large to medium litter items like for instance paper, leaves and cans at a faster speed.

Another pattern that uses the V-Shape arrangement is the Herringbone pattern. This arrangement on the other hand, is just found in the DR or likewise known as Double Row pattern and is great for medium to light litter applications. At typical sweeping speeds, the litter is directed closer to the hopper's center and can be loaded more effectively.

The Chevron style design is often used on cylindrical scrub brushes. This particular style directs the solutions to the center of the scrubbing path after the bristles work to agitate the loose litter from the ground. This design consists of a single row of full-fill in order to keep the bristles on the surface always. This particular brush is designated as a scrubber because of its filament length, as the short bristle cannot sweep or flick the litter off of the ground.
