 Sweeper Parts Saint John - Saint John, the largest city within the Province of New Brunswick, is the oldest incorporated city within Canada. Known as the "Largest Little City in the East," It is said that the French explorers, Samuel De Champlain and Sieur de Monts, landed at the opening of what is now "St. John River" on June 24, 1604 - St. John the baptist's feast day. This prompted them to name the river to honor the saint. An important historic landmark on the eastern side of Saint John Harbour is Portland Point (beside H.M.C.S. Brunswicker). This was where the first permanent French settlement within the part of Acadia or New Brunswick was created. In the year 1758, the British settled within the area and was replaced by American revolutionaries during the year 1775. Its segregated communities joined together as the city of St. John and became Canada's very first incorporated city.

Each pursuit is custom designed based on the needs of the group, and groups who are interested can choose from among the following: Orienteering, Camping, Shelter Construction, Kayaking, Survival map & Compass, Hiking Wilderness, Canoeing, Archery, Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Fire Building, Environmental Education and Outdoor Cooking.
Within the Maritime Provinces, the city of Saint John is considered an industrial giant. The well-known 20th century industrialist, K.C. Irving built lots of industries throughout the city, consisting of transportation, media, forestry, shipbuilding, and oil businesses. His companies still remain dominant within the region, specially the tissue power plant, newsprint mill, pulp mill, and oil terminal. In addition to Irving's companies, the various main businesses in Saint John are the New Brunswick Power Corporation, which operates Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, the Atlantic health Sciences Corporation and Aliant Telecom.
