 Sweeper Parts Chatham-Kent - Chatham-Kent is the biggest municipality within southwestern Ontario. At 2,458 square kilometres, it is the twelveth largest municipality by area in Canada. During the year 1998 Kent County and its municipalities merged to become the modern Chatham-Kent. Practically half of the municipality's 110,000 residents live within the previous City of Chatham. Other population centres are Dresden, Blenheim, Ridgetown, Wallaceburg and Tilbury.
Located in Ontario's industrial heartland, Chatham-Kent has well developed automotive and agricultural sectors. The municipality has been nicknamed, "The Classic Car Capital of Canada." Hank Chrysler, father of Walter P. Chrysler (of the Chrysler company), was born in Chatham. One of Canada's earliest car makers, Gray-Dort Motors Ltd., had its beginnings within Chatham City. AutoLiv Canada, that manufactures airbags, is situated in Tilbury. The world's biggest vintage automobile auction house, RM Auctions, and RM Restorations, the world's largest vintage automobile restoration company, are situated in Blenheim.
Chatham-Kent's agricultural and energy sectors are thriving. One of the largest ethanol plants in the globe, Commercial Alcohols, is located there. The municipality is the head office for biotechnology company Pioneer Hi-Bred Limited. Omstead Foods is the 2nd biggest frozen vegetable processor in Canada and the largest producer of fresh fish. Thompsons Limited is a third-generation, family operated and owned company headquartered within Blenheim serving the agricultural industry with a network of modern elevators located across the United States and Southern Ontario. Thompsons even has retail centres selling fertilizer, seed, other agricultural services and crop protectants. Under its Hyland Seeds brand, the company sells seed, bean products and popcorn. Chatham-Kent attracts numerous foreign labourers to work on area farms throughout the growing season. The headquarters of Union Gas are located within Chatham. The land along the shore of Lake Erie has proven perfect for the establishment of many wind farms.
For the surrounding population, Chatham is the retail hub. Big-box stores are specifically numerous at the north end of St. Clair Street within Chatham and on Communication Road in Blenheim.
The company of Mallory Industries is an international company based in Blenheim, and within Sioux City, Iowa. The company makes wash brushes and squeegees throughout North America. The successful company was started in the year 1891 by George W. Mallory in Guilds. The factory began in Mallory's home and moved to Blenheim during the year 1914. Its present location is on Communication Road south of Blenheim, where it located in 1957.
